Order Handling and Returns Policy
We are committed to delivering your orders safely, efficiently, and on time. Below is everything you need to know about our shipping, delivery, returns, and refund process across Kenya.
Handling Time
All confirmed and fully paid orders are processed within 2 hours during working days (Monday–Friday). Orders placed after 4:00 PM will be processed on the following business day. Please note that weekends and public holidays are not included in processing times.
Transit Time
After dispatch, deliveries usually arrive within 1–2 business days depending on your location and courier availability. Deliveries to remote or hard-to-access areas may take slightly longer due to routing schedules.
Delivery Options & Charges
Standard Delivery
- Orders above Ksh 20,000 qualify for free delivery
- Orders below Ksh 20,000 attract a delivery fee of Ksh 350
Please note that all orders must be fully paid before dispatch. Cash on Delivery is currently unavailable.
Courier Partners
We work with trusted delivery providers including G4S Courier, Wells Fargo, Fargo Courier, and verified local boda riders for nearby deliveries. Couriers are automatically assigned based on your location to ensure faster and more reliable service.
Coverage Area
We ship to major towns and cities across Kenya. If you are unsure whether we deliver to your area, please contact us before placing an order.
Tracking Information
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email notification containing your tracking number and courier information. These details can be used to follow up directly with the assigned courier. For boda or pickup deliveries, our team will contact you directly with handover arrangements.
Payment Terms
All deliveries require full payment before shipping. We accept M-Pesa and card payments during checkout. Orders are only dispatched after payment verification is completed.
Refund & Return Policy
This policy explains the conditions for requesting returns, exchanges, and refunds.
Return Period
Customers may request a return within 2 days of receiving their order. We encourage all customers to inspect their items immediately after delivery to identify any issues as soon as possible.
Return Eligibility
To qualify for a return, the item must:
- Remain in the same condition it was delivered in
- Be unused, unworn, and free from physical damage
- Include all original packaging, manuals, accessories, and tags
- Include proof of purchase or order confirmation
Returns that do not meet these conditions may not be approved.
Return Authorization
Before returning any item, customers must first contact us at +254700919007. Once reviewed, we will provide return instructions and the appropriate return address. Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.
Non-Returnable Items
The following products are not eligible for return:
- Digital products, licenses, or software keys
- Final sale items
- Opened consumables
- Customized or special-order items
- Products damaged due to misuse, accidents, or improper installation
Return Shipping Costs
Unless the return is due to an error on our side, such as receiving the wrong or defective item, customers are responsible for:
- Return shipping fees
- Proper packaging and safe return delivery
Gadget District is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.
Refund Process
Once the returned item has been received and inspected, customers will be notified whether the refund request has been approved or declined.
Approved Refunds
If approved:
- Refunds are processed within 7 business days
- Refunds are issued through the original payment method used during purchase
Supported refund methods include:
- Paystack (Card, Bank, Apple Pay)
- M-Pesa
- Bank Transfer
Please note that transaction processing fees are non-refundable.
Rejected Refunds
Refund requests may be declined if:
- The item shows signs of usage
- Parts or accessories are missing
- The item was returned outside the 2-day return window
- The returned item does not match the approved return request
If a refund is rejected, the customer will be required to arrange collection of the returned item.
Exchanges
Exchanges are only available for:
- Incorrect items delivered
- Defective products not caused by customer misuse
Exchange requests must also be made within the same 2-day return period. If a replacement item is unavailable, customers may receive a refund or store credit instead.
Order Cancellations
Orders can only be cancelled before shipment. Once dispatched, cancellation requests will be treated under the return policy conditions outlined above.
